Q: What inspired you to try yoga in the first place?
Sheri : I started yoga when I was really young really out of curiosity. But it wasn’t until I started developing medical conditions that had no cure and the anxiety that came along with it really needed to be controlled. I wanted to do it without medication’s and they seem to be perfect For jumpstarting my own natural immunity.

Q:What keeps you motivated to continue your yoga practice?
Sheri : My motivation comes from feeling good. There’s something magical about movement and connecting to the universe, not to mention the amazing community of support that you find.

Q:What’s your favorite part about yoga? (The physical, mental, or spiritual benefits?)
Sheri : At first it was physical. I couldn’t believe how I could push my body paste boundaries. My body did things I didn’t know it was capable of. And as I got older, and my practice grew, I realize that my mind could equally surpass boundaries.

Q: How has yoga changed your life – physically or mentally?
Sheri : I had to say physically I’m in good shape, considering my illnesses, but my mental strength is by far the strongest I’ve gotten through many dark months and illnesses.

Q:What advice would you give to someone who’s just starting their yoga journey?
Sheri : I would encourage someone to practice at their own speed and honor their body. Do not compare yourself to others because it leads to disappointment. Your body will do what it wants and needs to in its own time.
